Overview
Coppell Arts Council announces a call for entries for the Andy Brown Park Rotating Public Art Exhibition, a biennial outdoor public art exhibit. Up to ten sculptures will be selected for a 2-year exhibition period. The location promises great exposure for artists, and Coppell is a family-friendly, community-centric town. Selected artists will receive a $1,800 stipend and 2 VIP tickets to the Art, Sip & Stroll event on October 3, 2026.

- Preference for artists in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Louisiana, and Mississippi
- Other applicants considered if they can ensure delivery August 10–31, 2026

Media & size
Mixed media, stone, brass, and metal encouraged; abstract and figurative styles welcome. Built pieces only; concepts will not be considered. Sculpture pad size is 8" thick concrete, 4' × 4' square. All installations must be able to be anchored to a pad meeting these requirements. Large, monumental sculptures are encouraged.
Submissions

- Provide: title, year created, dimensions, materials, and purchase price
Awards & stipend
CAC will award a $1,800 stipend to up to 10 professional sculptures. Works may be listed for sale during exhibition; CAC receives 20% commission on any sales. If a work is sold, artist may replace it with another sculpture approved by CAC.
Installation & logistics
- Artist responsible for delivery to site August 10–31, 2026
- Artist must supply all fasteners and hardware to attach to concrete pads
- City of Coppell provides lift and labor for placement and fastener installation
- Any installation equipment beyond a forklift must be supplied by artist
- Artist responsible for work before anchor bolts are installed and after they are removed
- City of Coppell's Insurance covers artwork during exhibition period
- Artist must pick up work by August 31, 2028; early pickup not permitted unless work is sold
Evaluation criteria
Juried selection process; jury selections are final. Submissions evaluated on artistic merit, public safety, appropriateness, durability outdoors, and creativity. Selected artists interviewed for public art app produced by Ottocast.
