Online exhibition (curated by Celeste Gallery, London)

Submit proposals for an online collective exhibition exploring residues, traces, and presences that linger in physical and digital environments.

The Ghost in the Space explores the invisible residues that linger in physical and digital spaces long after we have gone. It questions what remains of a person when their voice is reconstructed by an algorithm, their data outlives their body, or their memory is embedded in architecture. Celeste Gallery invites artists, designers, and researchers to submit proposals for this online collective exhibition.

  • Digital traces, data ghosts, and online identity after death
  • AI-reconstructed voices, images, and memories of the deceased
  • The memory of physical and virtual spaces
  • Absence, loss, and what remains
  • Haunting as metaphor for technology, colonialism, trauma, or grief
  • The boundary between presence and disappearance
  • Surveillance, invisibility, and being watched without knowing

All media and all approaches welcome, including photography, video, performance, sound art, generative art, AI-assisted work, installation, textile, painting, drawing, code-based practice, and mixed media.

  • Submit up to 5 pieces of work
  • Pieces from the same series can be treated as a single entry, depending on the work itself
  • Submission deadline: 15 July 2026
  • Successful applicants notified within two weeks of deadline
  • £35 participation fee for selected artists, contributing to exhibition production and media costs
  • No artist will be excluded solely on financial grounds
  • All career stages and nationalities welcome
  • Participation in KUNSTMATRIX online 3D exhibition accessible via Instagram, gallery website, and independent domain (typically reaching 2,000+ views)
  • Exhibition media promotion across ArtRabbit, Artjobs, Londonjournal, Manchestertime, Eventbrite and other platforms
  • Participation in Instagram promotion (nearly 1,500 followers)
  • Outstanding participants: opportunity to sign with gallery, participate in art sales revenue sharing (50/50 profit-sharing for 5-10 selected artists), and develop related cultural and creative products
  • Selected artists may be interviewed (1-2 artists)
