Overview
The City of Pompano Beach will commission an artist or artist team to design and install a painted mural on the west exterior wall of the restroom at the Sample McDougald House. The theme is a historical and agricultural look focusing on the original Sample Homestead "Pinehaven" and the pineapple fields it was named for. The design should have a superimposed perspective and symbolize Pompano's rich agricultural history. Logos are not to be used. A UV Resistant Coating must be applied to the finished product.

Eligibility
Open to professional Florida artists. Artists are NOT eligible if they are immediate family or business partners of members of the Public Art Committee or program staff.

Selection Process
Three (3) artists will be shortlisted and paid a $200.00 honorarium. Shortlisted artists will be required to submit detailed design proposals including mock images and a budget list. The Pompano Beach Public Art Committee may create a subcommittee to serve as the selection committee. The City Commission will have final approval of the selected artist and design.
