Overview
Beyond The Surface: Exploring Above and Below invites artists to explore expansive dimensions of space—a realm without boundaries where inner and outer worlds collide. The call seeks work that makes the invisible visible, whether through personal, public, spiritual, or cosmic lenses, and offers new ways of imagining our shared universe.
Eligibility
Open to all artists nationally. Hera Gallery seeks work in all media (2D, 3D).
Media & submission
Submit 3–10 total files: up to 10 images, 6 audio files, and/or 6 video files. System requires 3 images minimum; you may resubmit the same image or include detail shots.
Key dates
- Submission deadline: August 15, 2026 at midnight
- Notification of acceptance: September 13, 2026
- Delivery due: October 10–13, 2026 (Saturday–Tuesday)
- Exhibition: October 17 – November 14, 2026
About the juror
Lydia Jasper is an Assistant Curator at MASS MoCA (Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art) in North Adams, Massachusetts, specializing in contemporary art programming, exhibition planning, and public engagement.
Delivery & insurance
Local delivery instructions will be sent to accepted artists. Artwork must arrive between October 10–13, 2026; work delivered after this date risks exclusion. Artists are responsible for all return shipping costs and containers, including a prepaid return label. Hera Gallery assumes no responsibility for damage, loss, or theft; artists must carry their own insurance.
Sales & commissions
As an artist-run nonprofit, Hera takes no commission in national juried exhibitions—100% of sales go directly to the artist.
Rights & photography
Hera Gallery reserves the right to photograph work for publicity. By entering, you agree to the use of your name, likeness, personal information, and artwork in any publicity material or exhibition documentation.
