About
Create a unique place setting installation celebrating your place at the table in the creative community, inspired by Judy Chicago's Dinner Party.
Overview
Create a unique place setting that celebrates your place at the table in the creative community and the world beyond. Inspired by Judy Chicago's Dinner Party, this collaborative installation is the keystone project of SCWCA's 50th Anniversary celebration. Each participating artist (who may collaborate with another SCWCA member) will design and construct a single place setting contributing to a collective table that reflects diverse perspectives on inclusion, identity, memory, and belonging. The place setting may be literal, conceptual, narrative, or abstract, incorporating traditional elements or departing entirely from convention.
