Overview
A national open juried exhibition of two-dimensional dry pastel work organized by the Philadelphia Pastel Society. Artists submit images online through ShowSubmit; accepted works will be displayed at the Community Arts Center, Wallingford, PA.

Eligibility
Open to current members of the Philadelphia Pastel Society and non-members who are 18 years or older and U.S. residents. Membership must be paid in full through 2026 to enter at the member rate of $45.
Eligible works
- Two-dimensional works only
- All entries must have been made in the past 3 years (2023 or later)
- Must be in dry soft pastel with at least 80% of the finished painting in dry pastel
- No oil pastels or varnished dry pastels accepted
- Must be original work, not created under teacher supervision, in a class, workshop, from a DVD, or from online instruction
- Works designed or constructed over an AI-produced image are not eligible
- Paintings of nudes will be considered for acceptance
- Artwork previously exhibited in a juried PPS show or at the Community Arts Center is not eligible
- Must not be exhibited concurrently with an online show
- All work must be framed, wired and ready to hang—no saw tooth hangers or clip frames allowed
- If matted, the mat should be white or off white
Fees
- Non-Member: $55 for 2 works
- Member: $45 for 2 works
- Membership dues must be paid in full (through December 31, 2026) prior to entering to qualify for the reduced member rate
- No refunds once entry is submitted
Submission details
Artists may enter up to 2 paintings. Images of artwork will be entered through the online submission program ShowSubmit. Changes may be made to submissions up to the submission closing date of Friday, August 14, 2026. Disqualification may occur if entry guidelines are not followed.
Awards
Over $3,500 in cash awards, including The $1,000 Philadelphia Pastel Society Award of Excellence. Artworks will be selected by Aline Ordman (Juror of Selection), while awards will be chosen by Corey Pitkin (Judge of Awards).
