Overview
The International Society of Furniture Designers invites student submissions for the 2026 John Conrad Student Pinnacle Awards Competition, honoring the best in student furniture and industrial design.
Eligibility
Open to students majoring in Furniture or Industrial Design at an accredited college or university. Seniors graduating in May 2026 and graduate students are eligible. All work must be entirely the student's own (AI-generated concepts not permitted; AI-assisted renderings allowed if labeled).
What to Submit
Submit a furniture or industrial design piece from any category: bedroom, dining room, or home office furnishings, occasional table, seating, storage piece, entertainment system, or textile design. Include a final rendering (hand-drawn, CAD, or combination), typed product description with materials and noteworthy features, and optional process book documenting design development.
Judging Criteria
Entries will be evaluated on aesthetics (scale, proportion, balance, finish, materials), design originality, functionality, and presentation quality.

- Finalists announced: Mid-September 2026
- Awards gala: Monday, October 19, 2026, 5:30–9:00 pm at International Home Furnishings Center, 11th Floor Club Level Ballroom

Award
Student Competition Winner receives a trophy, presented at the 2026 Pinnacle Awards Gala. Tickets are free to ISFD Student Members (available after August 15, 2026).
