What to submit
Representational artworks depicting at least one Alabama native species in natural landscapes/settings. Artwork may incorporate fitting outdoor sporting activities or sporting dog elements when appropriate for the species selected.
Judging criteria
- Accuracy of the chosen species: species must be clearly identifiable despite artistic style; natural habits and behaviors are encouraged; unnatural depictions may result in rejection.
- Composition highlighting the animal: while not necessarily centered or large, the composition must ultimately focus on the chosen animal.
- Artistic merit and quality: design, skill, visual appeal, and quality of artistic expression.

$12,000 grand purchase prize, sponsored by The Alabama Wildlife Federation and LIV Development.
