Artists apply to participate in a screen printing residency program ranging from 2 to 6 weeks, with access to dedicated printmaking equipment and studios.
Overview
Aviário Studio Screen Printing Residency provides technical conditions, time, and space for artists to develop ideas in printmaking with a focus on screen printing. The residency is a moment that promotes connection between artists from different backgrounds and the exchange of knowledge and experiences. Residencies can be moments of transition focused on experimentation and research, or points of consolidation of a project translated into production of a new body of work.
Residency Length & Dates
Residencies range from 2 weeks to 6 months. Application deadline: August 10, 2026.
Eligibility
- Open to artists based anywhere in the world
- Any stage of career (emerging, mid-career, established)
- Must be over 21 years old at time of arrival
- May apply individually or as a team (team members must apply and be accepted individually)
- Spouses/partners allowed for full stay (non-collaborators)

Equipment & Facilities
Dedicated printmaking workspaces and equipment include: Cutting Table (240 x 140 cm), Paper Guillotine (80 cm), UV Light Exposure Unit (150 x 120 cm), 2 Drying Racks, Screen Printing Tables, Light Table, Etching Press, Inking Table, Paper Soaking Sinks, Acid Room, Silkscreen Studio, Large Exposure Unit, Washout Room, Padded Screen Print Tables, well-ventilated spray room, and additional woodworking tools.

Housing & Accommodations
Private bedroom in a shared housing facility on campus. Residents have access to a shared kitchen. No meals are provided. Pets are not allowed.
