Eligibility
Open to all artists and prospective members. Separate Young Adult category for ages 18-24. No residency requirement.
Work requirements
- No digital reproductions (giclée), digitally generated art, or AI-generated art painted over
- No copies of other original art, student/class/workshop work, or paintings over photographs
- Portraits must contain a human person and at least three of the following: ear, eye, nose, mouth (facial features as part of head)
- Figures without clothing permitted if done in good taste
- No sexual acts, violence, gore, offensive language, or political agendas
- Pets acceptable only when accompanying a human
- Work not exhibited in PSA exhibitions in the last 2 years
- Never won first place in any previous PSA exhibition
- Not displayed in more than 2 prior PSA exhibitions
Entry fees
- Non-Member: $45 for 1 work, $10 each additional (up to 3 total)
- Member/Juried Member: $35 for 1 work, $10 each additional (up to 3 total)
- Young Adult (18-24): $25 for up to 3 works
- Fees are nonrefundable
Artwork display requirements
All work must be ready for hanging with D rings and wire in an appropriate gallery frame or gallery-wrapped canvas. Each work requires an identification card on the back with title, artist name, medium, size, email, cell phone, and price. All art must have a declared value.
