Artists with many responsibilities are invited to apply for a 1- or 2-week micro-residency offering workspace, private accommodations, and communal facilities.

The Micro-Residency at Bischoff Inn offers artists a clean, calming, and peaceful space for study, work, and relaxation. Residencies last 1 or 2 weeks and are equal parts relaxation and productive work time. The program attracts working artists, families, teachers, and others seeking to integrate art making into vacation time.

  • Residency period: May 1 – September 30, 2026
  • Duration: 1 or 2 weeks
  • Attendance dates are not fixed; artists view the Inn's availability calendar and decide when to come
  • Open to artists at any stage of career
  • Only open to artists based in the country where the program is located
  • Collaborative teams may apply
  • Spouses/partners allowed for full stay (non-collaborators)
  • Children allowed for full stay
  • Pets are not allowed
  • Base residency fee: $375 per week, plus taxes
  • Additional fees for partners/children: $50 per week per person
  • No discounts for residencies less than one or two weeks
  • Residency fee charged by the week only
  • Semi-private workspace: 550–668 sq ft per artist in separate Lumber Shed building
  • Private room and bathroom with queen-size bed, linens, towels, soap, Wi-Fi, climate control, smart TV
  • Communal lounge with fridge, microwave, coffee & tea bar, snacks, kitchen sink
  • No meals provided

Entry fee
Base residency fee is $375 per week, plus taxes. Additional fees apply for partners and children at $50 per week per partner and/or child. No discounts available for residencies less than one week or two weeks.
