The Exchange
In lieu of a residency fee, participating artists must contribute one original framed artwork created either during or prior to the retreat. The artwork will become part of a growing collection documenting artists who have spent time on St Agnes and supporting continued development of future creative retreats.

Selection Criteria
Successful applicants will have created artwork with some link to the islands or mainland Cornwall or sea/landscapes. Judged by local artist panel: Emily Beresford, Sarah Garratt, Leigh Sladen.
Key Dates & How to Apply
- Application Deadline: 1st August 2026
- Retreat Periods Available: 1 week in October 2026, March 2027, or April 2027
- Submit: 5 examples of recent work and website and/or social media links
- Artwork delivery: on arrival at retreat or no later than day 5 of your stay
- Artists may bring a technician, friend, partner, or child/ren subject to availability
Location
St Agnes is the southernmost inhabited island of the Isles of Scilly, located approximately 28 miles off the coast of Cornwall. Known for exceptional natural beauty, wildlife, and a slower pace of life.
Publicity
Artwork will be showcased permanently for 33 weeks each year in luxury self-catering properties with artists' information and contact details.
