About
Members submit up to two watercolor paintings for juried selection by a national juror for the WSO Fall Exhibition.
Overview
The Water Color Society of Oregon (WSO) invites member artists to submit watercolor paintings for the Fall 2026 Exhibition. The exhibition will consist of no more than eighty (80) paintings, selected by a national juror chosen by the Board.

Eligibility
Only Lifetime and Active Members, current in their dues and residing in the State of Oregon, may submit to WSO juried exhibitions. Each selected painting must be by a different WSO Member. Any painting which has been previously accepted and hung in a WSO exhibition is not admissible.
Media & substrate requirements
- Work must be on a single piece of untreated paper
- Plastic paper (Yupo and Tyvek) are not allowed
- Embossing is not permitted
- Varnished work is not eligible
Submission requirements
- Maximum of 2 images per artist
- Each image must be a different painting
- Images must be in jpg format with the greatest dimension sized at 1200 pixels
- Images must be named as follows (example): SmithMary-GoneWithTheWind.jpg
- No special characters can be used in the file name
Framing & presentation
- Frames must be matte black metal or matte black wood, free from scratches, dings, and ornamentation
- Minimum area of framed painting (height x width) is 256 square inches (e.g., 16 x 16)
- Maximum area of framed painting (height x width) is 1200 square inches (e.g., 30 x 40)
- Maximum profile/face width of frame: 1½ inches
- Maximum depth/projection from wall of frame: 2 inches
- Plexiglass only; no glass is accepted
- All works must be covered with plexiglass, clean and free from smudges and scratches
- Mats are optional; if used, must be single or double white or off-white only
- A secure wire for hanging is required
Delivery & procedures
- Tape the entry card to the upper left corner of the back of the painting
- Tape the signed Gallery Contract to the lower right corner of the back (do not fold)
- Hand-deliver your painting to the designated place OR ship using a Pre-Authorized Return Shipping Label
- If shipping, use a crate or shipping box suitable for re-shipping; do not use Styrofoam or pellets

Go to https://watercolorsocietyoforegon.com, click Exhibitions. On the drop-down menu, select 'Guide to Entering a WSO Show.' Resize your image to 1200 pixels on the longest side using the guide at https://watercolorsocietyoforegon.com/exhibitions/how-to-resize-images. Submit entries on the ArtCall website at https://wsoexamplecall.artcall.org. Additional information can be found in Policy X, A-F on the WSO website.
