September 2026 CAC Members Travel Call For Entries

Overview

Crossroads Art Center announces a themed members-only juried show: 'Planes • Trains • Automobiles — The Art of Motion, Travel & Adventure.' The exhibition will be live at the gallery and online. All work must be original, created by the artist, and for sale. The gallery does not accept reproductions or giclee prints unless approved by the owner, but traditional printmaking processes and digital art created by the artist using programs like Procreate or Photoshop are permitted.

Key Dates

• Submission deadline: August 16, 2026
• Artists notified via email on or before: Friday, August 21, 2026
• Drop-off for live show: Tuesday, September 8 – Friday, September 11, 2026 by noon
• Open House: Friday, September 18, 2026, 5pm–8pm
• Exhibition ends: Sunday, November 8, 2026
• Unsold work pickup: Tuesday, November 10, 2026, 10am–5pm

Eligibility

Open to current Crossroads Art Center Gallery Members only. Non-members or those needing to renew membership should join before entering.

Entry Requirements & Fees

• Entry fee for current gallery members: $15 per submission
• Limit: 3 submissions per artist
• All wall-hung and 2D work must be wired (no sawtooth hangers)
• Work previously accepted into a juried show at the gallery may not be re-entered

Submission Details

Artist statement required (200-word limit, first person). When filling out the submission form, use capital letters for names, do not include commas in prices, list measurements as Height × Width × Depth, and keep artwork descriptions to 300 characters including spaces. Information entered will be used exactly as written on labels, awards, publicity, and online.

Image Requirements

Submit three images per piece: one without frame, one with frame (if applicable), and one close detail image showing an important aspect of the artwork. If unframed, only the first two images are required. Include outside measurements of the frame (H × W × D) if framed. Keep backgrounds unobtrusive; walls should not show in photos.

Sales & Commission

All work must remain on display until the end of the exhibition; artists may not remove work early. Commission on sales is 30%; artists retain 70%. The gallery reserves the right to refuse work.

Technical Support

Artists needing help with entries can pay $50 per entry and call the gallery to arrange an appointment for assistance with image uploads, profile setup, or other questions.
