Artists, designers, curators, art historians, art educators, writers, journalists, and cultural researchers are invited to apply for mentored artist residency programs with flexible or intensive instruction in various artistic techniques across Mexico and Peru.

Arquetopia Foundation is a multiple award-winning nonprofit arts and cultural foundation offering customized, professional International Artist-in-Residence Programs across three locations: Puebla and Oaxaca in Mexico, and Cusco in Peru. The foundation emphasizes critical thinking, reciprocity, and ethical artistic practices.

  • Part 1: Mentored, self-directed residencies in art, design, photography, ceramics, and printmaking (3-8 weeks)
  • Part 2: Mentored residencies with intensive technique instruction from local master artists in electroetching, gold leafing, jewelry, textiles, silkscreen, natural pigments, painting, and pre-Columbian techniques (3-5 weeks, extendable)
  • Part 3: Short-term, themed residency programs for artists, art historians, and researchers (2 weeks)
  • Application deadline: Wednesday, July 15, 2026
  • All residency dates available in 2026 and 2027
  • Applications evaluated as received; spaces limited
