Artists, craftspeople, and makers are invited to exhibit and sell their work at pop-up studios over one or two days in the Main Yard at Sunny Bank Mills during a Heritage Festival.

Join the inaugural pop-up open studios at Sunny Bank Mills, part of Heritage Open Days 2026, celebrating Everyday Histories and the rich heritage of the Mills. Up to 12 artists, makers and creatives are invited to exhibit and sell their work in a unique historic setting with visitors across the site all weekend.

  • Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of September 2026
  • Main Yard at Sunny Bank Mills, Farsley, West Yorkshire
  • Pop-up studios opening hours: 10am–4pm
  • Part of Heritage Open Days – England's largest celebration of history and culture

Any artist, crafts-person, or maker who lives in Leeds and is not currently part of a collective or studio participating in Leeds Open Studios. You must be selling your own work (unless part of a collective or studio). Handcrafted art or products only; mass-produced items will not be accepted.

Applications should include high-quality photos showing examples of work you would be exhibiting, and photos of previous stall layouts if available.

  • 1 Day Stall – £45
  • 2 Day Stall – £90
  • Fee includes a 6ft x 2.5ft wooden trestle table, chair and pop-up gazebo
  • Applications to participate are free; fees apply only if selected
  • Application deadline: Midnight on Sunday 26th of July 2026
  • Notification via CuratorSpace if selected
  • Event dates: Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th of September 2026

The studios will be outside and accessible via ramp access. Accessible toilets are available in the Festoon Rooms beside the event. Blue Badge Parking is available on site. The event may not be suitable for everyone due to outdoor setting and busy periods; please message the curator with any accessibility concerns.

You will be contacted via CuratorSpace if your application is chosen. Once allocated a day or days to exhibit, your stallholder guidelines and invoicing information will be emailed to you. You must be present at your stall. Promotion includes website, social media (40k+ followers), newspaper adverts, leaflets and posters.
