About
Submit 3-D outdoor artworks for ArtScape 10, an annual public art installation celebrating a decade of public art in Fayetteville and Cumberland County.
Overview
ArtScape 10 celebrates a decade of public art in Fayetteville and Cumberland County. The Arts Council welcomes submissions of 3-D outdoor works and particularly encourages submissions from North Carolina artists. Artists are encouraged to explore themes of celebration, joy, and excitement through bright color, engaging form, or interactive play. Selected works will remain on display for approximately 15 months, becoming a meaningful part of the community's shared experience while reaching a broad and diverse audience.

Eligibility & evaluation
Artists should be from North Carolina (particularly encouraged). Submissions are evaluated by a panel of Arts Council Board members, staff, and community members with professional experience in arts, culture, marketing/cultural tourism, and public art. Evaluation criteria include artistic excellence, safety and durability, and compatibility with available sites. Top twenty-five submissions are recommended to the City's Public Art Commission; final approval comes from the City Manager.

Ten pieces will be selected for installation. Each selected artist receives a one-year lease of up to $3,000. Selected artists receive a travel stipend of up to $500 total to cover both installation and deinstallation per sponsored artwork. Artists receive 70% payment on any individual sale; all works sold must remain on display for the duration of the lease period.
