About
Submit a flag design for the City of Longmont incorporating community feedback and flag design principles, with 3-5 visual work samples demonstrating your creative approach.
Overview
Longmont's Art in Public Places program invites you to submit a design for a new official City of Longmont flag. Three semi-finalists will be selected to refine their designs based on community feedback, which will then be presented to City Council for potential adoption.
Eligibility
Open to current residents of Longmont, Colorado, and members of Native Nations whose ancestral homelands include Longmont. All ages, abilities, backgrounds, and experience levels encouraged. Youth under 18 need a parent, guardian, or trusted adult to submit on their behalf.
What to submit
Complete a brief narrative answering: (1) Tell us about yourself and what this project means to you, and (2) How will you approach designing a new Longmont flag incorporating community feedback and the five principles of flag design? Submit 3–5 visual work samples (drawings, paintings, digital renderings, or other artwork) demonstrating your design style and creative approach. Samples can include initial flag design concepts.
