About
Submit up to three 2D or 3D works that are primarily hot or cold wax (encaustic, encaustic mixed media, or cold wax) for a juried exhibition.
Overview
Wax Currents: Fusing Tradition and Innovation is a juried exhibition from the International Encaustic Artists and Woodstock School of Art seeking artists to submit work that takes the ancient medium of encaustic painting in new and innovative directions. Artworks may encompass traditional themes and approaches, or explore radically contemporary techniques and fresh experimentation. All media are acceptable as long as wax (cold or heated) is the primary material.
Eligibility & Media
International artists working with encaustics, encaustic mixed media, and/or cold wax may apply. Submit up to three 2D or 3D works that are primarily hot or cold wax.
