Overview
The 43rd Annual Fine Art Exhibit welcomes wildlife artists from across the US to submit original work depicting wild zoological and/or botanical subjects. Eligible media include painting, drawing, photography, three-dimensional work, and mixed media. AI-generated art is not accepted.

- Acceptance notification: Friday, July 31, 2026
- Drop off: Friday, August 21, 2026 (12pm–5pm) or Saturday, August 22, 2026 (9–10am)
- Exhibition: August 23 – October 11, 2026
- Awards ceremony & reception: Saturday, August 22, 2026 (4–5pm)
- Pick up: Sunday, October 11, 2026 (12pm–5pm) or Monday, October 12, 2026 (9am–12pm)
Eligibility
- 18 years of age or older
- Currently reside in the United States
- Work must show a serious approach to wildlife art
- Work must be original and previously unpublished in IWA exhibits
- No AI-generated art accepted
Eligible media
- Painting: oil, alkyd, acrylic, transparent or opaque watercolor, or any liquid media
- Drawing: pastel, charcoal, graphite, colored pencil, scratchboard, ink
- Photography: film or digital, with or without alteration/manipulation
- Three-dimensional: carving and sculpture in any durable material
- Mixed media & other: any combination not covered above
Artwork requirements
- Must depict wild zoological and/or botanical subjects capturing the essence of the subject
- No domestic animals or plants accepted
- No man-made objects unless found in subject's natural habitat
- All landscapes must have a specific identifiable wildlife subject
- No entry can exceed 36" high or 18" deep or weigh over 40 pounds
- Two-dimensional work must be framed with wire and flat strap hangers
- Three-dimensional work must be free-standing and appropriately framed
- Paint must be dry
Entry fee
Non-refundable entry fee of $50 for one artwork; $5 each additional. Up to 3 artworks per artist. Exhibiting Artist Membership in Indiana Wildlife Artists (IWA) is included with at least one artwork entry.
