Artists and curators are invited to submit exhibition proposals for solo shows or curatorial proposals for group exhibitions, or individual works/collections to be considered for curated group shows, to take place in 2027-2028.

Bountiful Davis Art Center invites artists and curators to submit exhibition proposals for 2027-2028, including solo exhibitions or curatorial proposals for group shows. Innovative, diverse, and engaging work reflecting contemporary ideas or traditional talent is sought. Artists are also encouraged to submit individual works or collections that align with curated exhibition themes.

  • Submissions open: April 21, 2026
  • Extended deadline: July 20, 2026

Open to artists and curators of all media and career stages nationally. Out-of-state submissions welcome. Early to mid-career artists especially encouraged to apply.

Proposals welcome in all media, including painting, sculpture, photography, installation, digital art, performance, fiber, and mixed media.

  • Food, Nourishment, and Cultural Memory (mid-2027): Explore food as sustenance, symbol, ritual, and connector across cultures; works may address cultural and social significance, relationships, and systems through photography, sculpture, installation, video, fiber, digital media, and beyond.
  • Textile as a Cultural Tool: Identity and Community (early 2028): Engage textile as material and method; submissions may include weaving, embroidery, quilting, dyeing, fiber sculpture, felting, knitting, crochet, appliqué, installation-based work, and experimental textile approaches; cross-disciplinary and collaborative projects encouraged.

Prepare and submit one Exhibition Proposal Document (titled with your name and proposed exhibition title) including: Title of Proposed Exhibition, Artist Name, Artist Bio (1-3 paragraphs), Artist Statement (1-3 paragraphs describing background, practice, and themes), Exhibition Information (summary, target audience, significance, suggested layout, costs if any), Number of Works, Approximate Dimensions, Special Hanging/Display Requirements, Exhibition Date Preferences (optional), BDAC Gallery Preferences (optional), and representative images. See www.bdac.org/ for gallery dimensions.

Indicate in the Description Field which you wish to be considered for: Solo Exhibitions, Group Show Food: Nourishment and Cultural Memory, or Group Show Textile as a Cultural Tool: Identity and Community. You may add as many categories as you'd like to be considered for.
