Overview
Fondazzjoni għall-Malta Biennale is seeking an Artistic Director for its third edition of Malta Biennale, to be held between March and May 2028. The biennale is spearheaded by Heritage Malta and set in historical sites in Malta and Gozo. It aims to link the past with the contemporary through art, address today's issues, and create dialogue with the wider public.
Role & Responsibilities
The Artistic Director must be a cultural leader working in the field of contemporary art with overall responsibility for artistic management of the biennale. The Artistic Director will lead with a distinctive artistic vision, create the biennale's main exhibition within agreed resources, and ensure consistency and excellence in all artistic, managerial and organisational aspects. The artistic director works closely with production and administration heads and reports to the President and Executive Board.
