Legal
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of OpenCall's website, artist account, Chrome extension, newsletter, and paid or AI-assisted features. By using OpenCall, you agree to these terms.
Effective July 16, 2026
Using OpenCall
You may use OpenCall only in compliance with these terms and applicable law. If you create an account, you are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
You may not use OpenCall to break the law, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, scrape or reverse-engineer the service in an abusive way, interfere with the service, submit malicious code, or use AI-assisted features to generate or submit unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, or deceptive content.
Accounts and eligibility
You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use OpenCall. If you use the service on behalf of a studio, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these terms.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe an account is being used in violation of these terms, to harm the service, or to create legal, security, or fraud risk.
Opportunity data and third-party organizers
OpenCall aggregates and organizes information about third-party opportunities. Deadlines, fees, eligibility rules, exhibition dates, and other listing details can change without notice.
You are responsible for verifying every material detail on the organizer's own page before applying. OpenCall is not responsible for third-party applications, organizer conduct, acceptance decisions, payment requests, changes to third-party forms, or losses resulting from stale, incomplete, or inaccurate third-party information.
Your content
You retain ownership of the materials, profile text, artwork descriptions, statements, bios, notes, and other content you submit to OpenCall.
You grant OpenCall a non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, process, and display your content as needed to operate the service for you, including to score opportunities, populate forms, synchronize connected materials, and generate AI-assisted drafts you request.
You represent that you have the rights needed to provide that content to OpenCall and to authorize us to process it under these terms.
AI-assisted features
OpenCall may offer AI-assisted scoring, drafting, summarization, and autofill suggestions. Those features are assistive only. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, outdated, or unsuitable for your purpose.
You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and deciding whether to use any AI-assisted output. OpenCall does not guarantee that AI-generated or AI-assisted content is accurate, original, non-infringing, accepted by an organizer, or fit for any legal or professional purpose.
The Chrome extension is designed to fill draft values for your review. It does not submit applications for you, and you remain solely responsible for anything you choose to send to a third party.
Google Drive and connected services
If you connect Google Drive or another third-party service we may offer in the future, you authorize OpenCall to access and process the information made available under the permissions you grant so we can provide the requested import, sync, or drafting features.
You can disconnect a connected service from your account settings. Disconnecting stops new imports and syncs, but it does not automatically delete content already brought into your OpenCall workspace.
Subscriptions and billing
Some features may require a paid subscription. If you purchase a subscription, billing is handled by Stripe or another payment processor we designate.
Unless we state otherwise at purchase, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Trials, pricing, billing periods, taxes, credits, promotions, and refund terms are governed by the offer presented at checkout and the payment processor's flow.
We may change paid features or pricing prospectively. If we materially change recurring pricing for an active subscription, we will provide notice as required by law or by the payment platform.
Feedback
If you send feedback, feature ideas, bug reports, or suggestions, you grant OpenCall a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them for any product or business purpose without restriction or compensation to you.
Intellectual property
OpenCall and its service design, software, branding, and site content are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these terms, we reserve all rights in the service.
Disclaimers
OpenCall is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, or quiet enjoyment.
We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, always accurate, or always available, or that any opportunity will remain open, match your needs, or result in an acceptance, award, sale, exhibition, or other outcome.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenCall and its affiliates, owners, service providers, and personnel will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, opportunities, or business interruption arising out of or related to your use of the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenCall's total liability for claims arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid OpenCall in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).
Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless OpenCall and its affiliates, owners, service providers, and personnel from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from or related to your content, your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of another person's rights.
Changes to the service or these terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of OpenCall at any time. We may also update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date on this page and provide any additional notice required by law.
Your continued use of OpenCall after updated terms take effect means you accept the updated terms.
