About
Overview
Housed in the former home and studio of artist Alberto Heredia (1924–2000), which he bequeathed to the museum, this is the first residency in Argentina to operate under a public institution. Inaugurated in 2023 and restored thanks to the support of Fundación Azcuy and private sector partners, the house offers a dedicated work environment in the heart of San Telmo, just 800 meters from the Museo Moderno.

Who May Apply
Argentine citizens and foreign nationals who have resided in the country for at least three years and live outside of Buenos Aires City and its metropolitan area.
Program Details
The program will grant residencies ranging from 14 to 29 days and includes accommodation, domestic travel, daily stipends, institutional support, and professional networking with members of the local arts community.
Activities & Collaboration
Throughout the residency, participants will be encouraged to engage in conversations, training sessions, and collaborative activities with various departments of the museum, including curatorial, collections, conservation, exhibition design, education, and publishing.
Selection Priorities
Priority will be given to proposals that engage with the Museo Moderno's research lines and focus areas, including modern and contemporary Argentine art, art and education, design, materiality, accessibility, sustainability, community, and territory.
Application Process
Applicants must complete an online form. The selection process will be carried out by a jury composed of professionals from the Museo Moderno, along with leading figures from Argentina's curatorial and artistic fields.
