The City of Speyer awards the Hans-Purrmann-Prize for Fine Arts for the 23rd time, offering €6,000 and a publication to support promising young artists. How to apply
- Complete the online application form
- Upload image documentation of up to six single or multi-part works from 2024, 2025, or 2026 with standard artwork information and optional accompanying text
- For audiovisual work, submit weblinks (YouTube or Vimeo) only
- Submit a tabular curriculum vitae showing artistic development
- Submit a portfolio with additional works from the recent past (photographs and texts on artistic practice)
Selection process
A two-stage selection process will invite up to 8 applicants for the exhibition and main selection.

By submitting an application, applicants confirm they are the original authors of all works, which are free of third-party rights. Applicants accept the City of Speyer's privacy policy and GDPR Article 13 information. Invited finalists consent to the publication and use of work reproductions for press, public relations, exhibition documentation, media coverage, social media, and the publication included as part of the prize. Jury decisions are final and non-contestable.
