The Instituto Cáder de Arte Centroamericano (ICAC) at Museo Reina Sofía has opened two scholarship calls for professionals and students engaged with Central American art, awarded by the Fundación Museo Reina Sofía.
Scholarships
- Beca de Estudios ICAC: For Central American students admitted to the Master in Contemporary Art History and Visual Culture (Universidad Complutense de Madrid and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in collaboration with Museo Reina Sofía). Covers tuition, travel stipend, and living expenses.
- Beca de Investigación ICAC 2027: Nine-month research fellowship open to any nationality (priority to Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama residents). Includes economic aid and museum mentorship to develop original research on Central American art.

About ICAC
Created at the initiative of Salvadoran collector and cultural manager Mario Cáder-Frech, the ICAC is dedicated to the study, research, and dissemination of Central American art practices, scenes, and histories and their diasporas. It operates as part of the Museo Reina Sofía's Dirección de Estudios in collaboration with the Fundación Museo Reina Sofía and its U.S. counterpart.
