About
Overview
A grant program from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) to support Inuit and First Nations arts in Quebec through revitalization, creation, and transmission. The program aims to encourage environmentally responsible practices in artistic projects.
Eligibility
Applicants must be Inuit or members of Canada's First Nations, continuously engaged in their artistic practice (traditional, customary, contemporary, or mixed), Canadian citizens, and customarily resident in Quebec for the past 12 months.
Artist Recognition Requirements
Applicants must have either participated in at least one production outside their training period disseminated in a peer-recognized context, or produced and disseminated at least one artwork publicly in a peer-recognized place and/or context outside their training period. Up-and-coming artists may instead provide a letter certifying peer, elder, or community recognition.

Application
Submit applications online through Mon dossier CALQ. Applications must be submitted at least four weeks prior to the project start date. Contact the program manager for guidance on application preparation.
Submission Limits
- Up to five separate grant applications per fiscal year (April 1 – March 31) across all CALQ programs
- Maximum three projects being analyzed, supported, or carried out simultaneously
- Applications received as of February 24 (or March 1 for travel applications) included in following fiscal year
Award and Aid Types
Grants cover dissemination and promotion, professional development, research, creation, exploration and production, and travel.
Additional Information
Groups of artists may apply with a sole Inuit or First Nations artist/applicant serving as representative and grant recipient. All applications, including ineligible ones, count toward annual limits. Program emphasizes respectful collaboration with and recognition of Inuit and First Nations artistic expression and cultural protocols.
