Artist Residency 2025 Lanzarote – Hektor

Overview

Hektor offers artist and activist residencies on Lanzarote, Spain. The program provides accommodation, workspace, and exhibition possibilities in a supportive community environment.

Residency Duration & Accommodation

Residencies are offered in one-calendar-month blocks. Artists decide their length of stay (from a couple of weeks to several months). Accommodation includes one of Hektor's suites (30-40 square meters) with a small kitchen, one or two rooms, private bathroom, and double bed. Bed sheets, towels, toiletries are provided, and rooms are cleaned every two weeks.

Workspace & Materials

An atelier is reserved for artists with an extra kitchen. Some specialized materials (frames, easels, paints, tools) are provided; others (baking ovens, recording material) are not. Hektor can help locate additional materials or resources on the island.

Disciplines & Support

The program welcomes artists and activists of all forms and expressions, with special consideration for those aligned with Hektor's values. A discount is offered to those passionate about making change and fostering a more beautiful world.

Fees

• €650 per month (shared suite with another artist, applying together as change makers)
• €1,250 per month (private suite)

Expectations

Artists are not required to donate work, but are asked to: acknowledge work produced during the residency on their website and social media with Hektor credit/tag; credit Hektor (with website link or social media tags) on all photos taken at the property; provide qualitative material for a webpage Hektor will create; and accept a weekly one-day invitation to participate in farm work (optional).

Exhibition & Performance

Hektor offers exhibition and performance/presentation possibilities. A contribution to the collection is mandatory if artists use these opportunities.
