New Landscapes is an international programme and catalyst grant scheme in partnership with University of Arts London's (UAL) Fashion, Textiles and Technology Institute (FTTI). Since 2021, the programme has nurtured new Research and Development (R&D) projects between SME partners in the UK and 10 other countries, including Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia and Nigeria.

These collaborative projects support new ideas shaping the future of sustainable fashion, textiles and technology. Throughout the programme, UAL FTTI provide grantees with mentoring from their staff and expert academics, as well as offering unique showcasing opportunities.

Launched in 2023, the New Landscapes India R&D grant scheme was a three-year programme supporting new collaborations in sustainable fashion, textiles and technology between SME partners in India and the UK. The programme nurtured international cooperation, shared sustainable practice, and supported the cultural, social, and environmental values of the fashion and textiles sector in both countries. The programme supported six R&D partnerships between 19 India and UK enterprises, connecting designers, researchers and innovators to address shared industry challenges and explore new opportunities for sustainable growth.
