Equisoain is an artist-run residency in a bio-restored 14th-century tower house beneath La Higa mountain in Navarra, Spain, held within 400 hectares of forest, meadow, and stream. Sustained by solar energy and rainwater, the residency invites artists to let the place shape their work in method, material, and rhythm.

Artists working in visual art, performance, moving image, installation, ceramics, textile, sound, or interdisciplinary practices with genuine dialogue with nature.

2 weeks in a bio-restored 15th-century tower house, private and shared bedrooms (up to 8 artists total), access to 119m² shared studio, outdoor workspace, 4 living rooms, forest/meadow/stream access, optional natural dye workshop with Isabel Moltó, optional insight art sessions with Eliana Perinat, optional mentorship sessions, documentation process, open studio at residency end, connections with artistic networks and exhibition spaces in Spain, and invitation letter for Culture Moves Europe and other grants.

  • Self-funded international artists: €1,100 - €2,000 for 2 weeks (invitation letters provided)
  • European and Spanish-based artists: possible funding via AC/E PICE Residency Programme and Culture Moves Europe
