Gold Bluffs Beach & Fern Canyon Day-use Reservations - Redwood National and State Parks (U.S. National Park Service)

Overview

Gold Bluffs Beach and Fern Canyon are fee areas requiring day-use reservations. Reservations are only issued online and must be made in advance or the day before your visit.

• Reservations open on December 15
• Can be made up to 6 months prior (in-advance reservations)
• Day-before reservations open at 9 am PST the day before your intended visit

Access & Vehicle Requirements

Davison Road is an 8-mile long single-lane gravel road with two stream crossings. RVs over 24 feet in length and trailers are not permitted.

Day-Use Hours & Reservations

Your reservation is for the entire day (9:00 am to 5:00 pm). You do not have to arrive at 9:00 am for your reservation to be valid; anytime during the day is fine.

Fees

• $12.00 day-use fee
• Accepted payment methods: cash/check (no cards), America the Beautiful Passes, California State Parks Annual or Poppy Pass, or current Gold Bluffs Beach or Elk Prairie Campground reservation

Pets

Pets can be walked on a 6-foot leash on Gold Bluffs Beach. Pets are not permitted in Fern Canyon (service animals exempt).

Entry Requirements

A government-issued photo ID associated with your permit must be shown at the entrance station to gain access.
