City of Lakewood Annual Winter Salon 2026

Overview

The Lakewood Cultural Center presents the annual LCC Salon, a large-scale group exhibition and art market featuring small, accessibly priced artworks all available for $500 or less. Inspired by the maximalist approach of 19th-century French salons, this exhibition celebrates a broad range of artistic practices, from traditional to contemporary. The salon is juried by the City of Lakewood Arts Programming Curator, Laine Godsey.

Key Dates

• Exhibition: November 7, 2026 – January 2, 2027
• Reception: Saturday, November 7, 6–8 p.m.
• Submission deadline: October 22, 2026
• Notification of acceptance: No later than end of day, Friday, October 23, 2026
• Artwork delivery: Week of October 26, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.
• Sold work available for pickup: After December 18, 2026
• Unsold work pickup: Week of January 4, 2027, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.

Eligibility

• Eligible artworks: original paintings, drawings, prints, mixed media, and photographs
• 2-D work only; cannot exceed 3 ft in any direction, including the frame
• Work must be framed and ready to hang or mount on the wall with securely attached wires or a cleat system
• No nudity, sexually explicit imagery, or violence will be accepted
• No reproductions
• All work must be for sale

Application Requirements

• Submit up to 3 works per artist
• All work must be priced at $500 or less
• Prices cannot be adjusted after submission
• Submit electronically via CaFÉ
• Only preregistered work will be accepted

Fees & Commissions

• Entry fee: $30 for up to 3 works
• City of Lakewood receives 15% commission on all work sold during the exhibition
