This large-scale group exhibition serves as an art market featuring small, accessibly priced artworks, all available for sale at $500 or less. Inspired by the maximalist approach of 19th-century French salons, this collection presents a broad range of artistic practices, from traditional to contemporary, and invites the public to celebrate the vibrant culture that makes Lakewood unique. Our goal is to support local and regional artists during the busy holiday art market season by offering all works for sale throughout the exhibition. This salon will be juried by the City of Lakewood Arts Programming Curator, Laine Godsey.About LakewoodThe City of Lakewood's Lakewood Cultural Center (LCC) is proud to host inclusive and diverse exhibitions that highlight the work of local, regional, and national artists, which challenge and inspire viewers. All exhibitions are free to the public.EligibilityOpen to all artists, but all work must be delivered to the Lakewood Cultural Center. Eligible artworks include (but are not limited to) original paintings, drawings, prints, mixed media, and photographs. NO nudity, sexually explicit imagery, or violence will be accepted. NO reproductions. All work must be for sale. No shipping is allowed; artwork must be hand-delivered to the LCC. Size Limits2-D work only. Cannot be any larger than 3 ft in any direction, including the frame. Work must be framed and ready to hang or mount on the wall with securely attached wires or a cleat system. No work can be suspended from the ceiling nor sit on the floor.Entry Fee$30 for up to 3 works. Work must be for sale and priced under $500.EntriesAll entries must be submitted electronically. No changes to information will be possible after submission.AcceptanceWork will be accepted on CaFÉ until Thursday, October 22nd, 2026, or when the call to entry is full. NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE WILL BE MADE NO LATER THAN THE END OF THE DAY, FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23rd. Only preregistered work will be accepted. SalesThe City of Lakewood receives a 15% commission on all work sold during the exhibition. Prices submitted at the time of entry cannot be adjusted later. W9‘s must be completed for artwork sales.Delivery of WorkAll work must be delivered to the Lakewood Cultural Center during the week of October 26th between 9 am-5 pm. Artist’s name and title must be attached as a label on each work. Loan agreements will be completed at the time of artwork delivery.Pick Up of WorkAll unsold work must be picked up from the Lakewood Cultural Center the week of January 4th, 2027 between 9 am-5 pm. If pick up of artwork is not possible during the designated times, arrangements must be made with LCC staff for artwork retrieval. All work must be picked up within 90 days of the close of the exhibition. LCC is not responsible for the storage of artwork past 90 days.
