About
Overview
Sympoiesis is a residency grounded in research and contemporary creation, based on feminist biologist Donna Haraway's concept of creation 'with' others—humans and non-humans alike. The program invites artists and researchers to establish new alliances with their environments through collaborative practice.

Fees
Participation fee €1,000 includes everything listed above. There is the option of a residency with an individual apartment at an additional cost of €300. If the resident works collectively, there will be an additional cost of €150 per month, provided that the rest of the participants work on the same project and share the studio and accommodation. Travel and living expenses are the responsibility of the resident.
Eligibility
Artists from all disciplines are welcome to apply, as well as researchers whose work engages with artistic practice as an object of study or as part of their methodology. LGBTIQ+ and BIPOC individuals and communities affected by war, exile, and structural exclusion are especially encouraged to apply.

Expectations & Activities
Artists in residence are invited to take part in the program's activities and enrich their stay through active participation. Each month, an Open Studio is hosted where residents are encouraged to share their work, whether finished pieces or works in progress.
- Entry fee
- Participation fee €1,000 includes accommodation (private room in shared house), workspace, exhibition space, welcome coffee, use of technical equipment, mentoring, curatorial guidance, documentation, and visibility. Individual apartment at additional €300. Collective residency with shared studio/accommodation €150 per month additional per participant.

- Sympoiesis—collaborative creation with non-humans (plants, animals, microorganisms, materials, technology) and nature. Projects may explore sound and listening, biomaterials or living organisms, technologies for dialogue with other beings, or participatory and community-based approaches to establish new alliances with environments.
