Fronteer Gallery is seeking abstract artwork for their annual exhibition. Artists from across the UK are welcome to submit work in any medium except audio or video. One piece per artist.

  • Submission deadline: 26 September 2026
  • Notifications by: 28 September 2026
  • Delivery deadline: 8 October 2026
  • Exhibition: 27 October – 12 November 2026
  • Private view: Saturday 24 October, 4–6 pm
  • Collection period: 24 November – 10 December 2026

Open to artists from across the UK. Please note the gallery is upstairs with no disabled access.

  • Wall-mounted work: up to 70×70 cm of wall space, ready to hang with suitable attachments
  • Sculptural work: maximum 50 cm height × 30 cm width × 30 cm depth, should fit on a 30×30 cm plinth, ready to display
  • Any medium accepted except audio or video works

Free to apply. Successful artists pay £40, which includes: event evening with free drinks (bring friends and family), invigilation throughout the exhibition, and online promotion via social media (Instagram ~11,000 combined followers, plus Facebook, YouTube, and Threads).

Submit one piece of work with up to 3 images: one showing the whole piece and up to two detail images. You may provide a short description of no more than 100 words to be displayed alongside the work. Be clear about how your work hangs or stands.

Work can be offered for sale during the exhibition. Fronteer retains a 10% commission on any sales.

Successful artists can deliver work in person (29 September – 8 October during gallery hours) or by post (must arrive by 8 October). Collection available 24 November – 10 December during gallery hours, or by post (postage fees apply). All work must be complete and match the original submission; canvas prints and substitutions are not accepted. The gallery does not provide letters of recommendation or participation certificates.
