About
Overview
Foodculture days is calling for applications from transdisciplinary collectives for The Kitchen/Central Location during the festival in Switzerland, 16–20 June 2027. At once an open-air kitchen, a gathering space, and an artistic installation, The Kitchen/Central Location invites participants and passers-by alike to cook, exchange, and reflect together. The 6th edition of the festival wants to open up this space with/to the community of practices and imagine new ways of inhabiting it.
About the Project
Foodculture days offers an open-air citizen experimentation laboratory in Vevey's public space. The intention is to rethink ways of living, relationship to time and to creation. The organizers are especially eager to think together with the collective about the conditions under which multidisciplinary practices can flourish and thrive in our contemporary society.
Support & Resources
The foodculture days team will facilitate connections between the selected collective and local producers, growers, and artisans shaping the region's food landscape (including farm visits, foraging sites, and other relevant locations). The festival will also provide production support and volunteers throughout the project. Standard professional kitchen equipment and cooking facilities will be made available by the festival.
