Located in the Flint Hills of Kansas nestled between working ranches with sweeping views of the tallgrass prairie, Volland offers quiet, darkness, and solitude. The program welcomes artists, writers, poets, musicians, performers, designers, historians, natural scientists, and leaders in the humanities at all stages of their career from anywhere in the world.

Participants are welcome to apply for other grants or funding support. If they require a reference or recommendation letter, the Foundation is happy to provide one.
