- Notification: Within 7 business days after deadline via email
Eligibility
Open to any artist, professional or amateur, worldwide. Artworks should adhere to the BLUE theme—preferably all tones of blue, or with blue as the focal point (additional colors allowed if minimal and accenting only). Artworks created within the last 5 years preferred but all ages accepted. All work must be original, created without instructor supervision, and you must own the rights.
Media & Submission
You may submit 2D or 3D work in any medium that can be clearly photographed. Submit 1 to 10 artworks. For each work, provide title, medium, technique(s), year of creation, description, and dimensions. High-resolution print quality preferred (maximum 2400×3000 at 300dpi). Photos should show only the artwork itself; for sculptures, the surface of the supporting pedestal may be shown.
Application Requirements
Submit your full name, city/country, email, phone, social media links (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), website (optional), artist biography, artist statement, and a clear print-quality headshot photo. For each artwork, include the information listed above. If selling, include the price; otherwise mark NFS. We do not take commissions on sales generated by Monochromica.
Fees & Submission
Submission to this juried call is FREE. If selected for publication in the next issue, you will be asked to pay a US$100 inclusion fee to cover production and distribution costs. We do not sell advertising in our magazines.
Publication & Distribution
Selected artists receive a two-page gatefold presentation featuring headshot, biography, artist statement, social media/contact information, and up to 3 submitted artworks in full color. Artwork and artist information will also be displayed in the Monochromica online 3D virtual gallery for that issue. The magazine is distributed electronically; high-quality print copies may be ordered on-demand at or below cost. Artists do not receive royalties or commissions from Monochromica sales.
