Each year, a jury of artists and arts professionals selects 14 artists for the program through a competitive open call.
Open to rising artists based in New York City; all visual arts disciplines welcome.
AIM Fellows participate in a nine-month practicum led by distinguished faculty experts covering the art market, artist statements, studio practice, career planning, communication strategies, curator-artist relationships, finance, law, and media management. The Fellowship concludes with the annual AIM Convening, collaboratively organized by the outgoing cohort. Artwork of completed fellows is highlighted in a dedicated biennial exhibition with a fully illustrated catalogue.
