About
Overview
Kunsthalle Görlitz invites artists to explore artistic connections between the deep granite bedrock of the tri-border region (Germany-Czech Republic-Poland) and the universe. The extraordinary geological stability and seismic calm of Lausitzer granite will host gravitational wave detectors—sensitive instruments that measure tiny distortions in spacetime to reveal distant cosmic events. A rich conceptual space opens between the stone beneath our feet and the furthest regions of the cosmos.
