Get matched →Buinho is an artistic residency program located in the Alentejo region of Southern Portugal, established in 2016. The program hosts diverse creative professionals including visual artists, performance artists, photographers, curators, writers, sculptors, designers, and media artists. The creative hub features eight houses and spaces with shared and private studios, a state-of-the-art digital fabrication workshop, exhibition spaces, a metalworking workshop for sculpture and plastic recycling, a textile lab with sewing machines and digital embroidery equipment, and access to a FabLab for creative experimentation.
Open to artists at any stage of career from diverse creative and research backgrounds. The program values multidisciplinary work and particularly supports emerging artists seeking opportunities for international visibility.
