Overview

This call for applications is open to young contemporary artists for a solo exhibition at the Saint-Nazaire Museum in Bourbon-Lancy, an eleventh-century desacralized Romanesque church and historical monument. The exhibition will take place from May 22, 2027, to August 29, 2027. Artists must incorporate works from the municipal collection and consider the museum's permanent collection, establishing a link with their own work. A connection to the location and/or territory will be valued. The museum space is approximately 700m2.

Eligibility

• Artists residing in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
• Graduated from a regional art school less than 10 years ago, OR
• Under 35 years old if not from one of these schools.

Compensation and Support

• 1000€ remuneration for public presentation rights upon invoice and URSSAF artists-authors registration.
• Artwork transportation provided by the city with a truck and city agent (one round trip).
• Artists must be present to assist with loading/unloading.
• Insurance for exhibited works covered by the city of Bourbon-Lancy (nail-to-nail).
• Exhibition security provided by a city agent.
• Opening reception covered by the city of Bourbon-Lancy; artist's presence is mandatory.
• Communication (poster, invitation, distribution) handled by the city in consultation with the artist.
• Assistance with exhibition installation/de-installation possible based on artist's needs and municipal staff availability.
• Loan of tools, power tools, and small hanging equipment possible, subject to availability.
• Artist accommodation covered for installation/opening (maximum 13 nights) and de-installation (maximum 4 nights).

Exhibition Details

• Exhibition dates: May 22, 2027 to August 29, 2027.
• Installation period: 2 weeks.
• De-installation period: 1 week.
• Works from the permanent collection will be present and must be taken into account.
