Program Overview
Studio Immersion Project (SIP) is an intense fellowship designed to introduce artists from multiple disciplines to printmaking. SIP invites artists seeking creative exploration through printmaking, regardless of expertise, to apply their creative knowledge and conceptual goals to the print medium.
Residency Dates & Mandatory Sessions
- Residency: January 26 – April 30, 2027
- Orientation & classes: Tuesday, January 26, 2027, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
- Saturdays: January 30, February 6, 13, 20, 27, and March 6, 2027, 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Eligibility
Limited to artists living and working in New York State with no affiliation with any institution as full or part-time student and not in a residency program during the fellowship.
What You Receive
- 1 year free EFA RBPMW membership
- Unlimited studio access during workshop hours (February–April)
- $2,000 stipend
- Materials stipend
- 6-session orientation program covering intaglio, lithography, screenprinting, relief, and monotype techniques
- 3 EFA RBPMW classes
- Group exhibition (year following fellowship)
- Material and supply storage
- Access to exhibition and portfolio exchange opportunities

EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop is located at 323 West 39th Street, 2nd Floor, between 8th and 9th Avenues in Midtown Manhattan.
