Community Arts Partner Roster
The Creative Advantage is a city-wide initiative providing equitable access to arts learning for Seattle Public Schools students through a public-private partnership. Community Arts Partners collaborate with schools to provide student art residencies and teacher professional development.
Roster Eligibility
- Teaching artists, community arts organizations, and cultural institutions
- Three or more years of teaching experience required
- Applicants must be age 18+
- Applications open rolling year-round starting November 1, 2025
Roster Review Deadlines
- November–February submissions reviewed in March
- March–May submissions reviewed in June
- June–September submissions reviewed in October
SmART Ventures Grant
Flexible, inclusive, simple funding ranging from $500–$1,500 for individuals, groups, organizations, youth, and older adults seeking support for unique arts and culture projects, opportunities, or events.
SmART Ventures Eligibility
- Individuals or groups including youth and older adults
- Arts and culture organizations (501(c)(3) status not required)
- Not currently funded by the city
- Have not received CityArtist grant within past 4 years
SmART Ventures Deadlines
Applications accepted year-round. Submit by 5 PM on the last Friday of each month. Funding decisions announced the third week of the following month.
SmART Ventures Application Process
- Information sessions: 11:30 AM–12:15 PM Pacific
- Draft application review: 12:30–1:15 PM Pacific (requires prior info session attendance)
