Overview
CICA Vancouver announces the 2025 International Emerging to Mid-career Art Awards, celebrating artistic excellence on a global stage. Selected artists will be exhibited at CICA Vancouver's physical gallery and reach international curators, collectors, and institutions.
Eligibility
All artists with specialized training in the artistic field, recognized as professionals by peers, or with a history of public presentation or publication are eligible to apply.

Awards
- Beacon Award – $5,000 CAD
- Rising Star Award – $3,000 CAD
- People's Choice Award – $1,000 CAD
What to Submit
- CV and artist bio (maximum 400 words)
- Artist statement (maximum 400 words)
- Portfolio PDF with up to 5 images, limited to 3 pages
- Three titled artworks in format: Artist last name_Artwork title_Medium_Dimensions_Production Year
- All mediums accepted, including video and installation
Fees and Logistics
- $10 application fee per submission
- Longlisted artists responsible for transportation; works must be ready to hang
- CICA Vancouver manages installation, security, and insurance during exhibition
- Loan period: 2 weeks prior to installation start and 4 weeks after exhibition end
- Works returned at artist's expense within 6 weeks; sold works sent to buyers at buyer's expense
- Optional consignment available with commission to support CICA operations
Jury and Selection
A distinguished panel of international curators, museum directors, and art professionals will judge submissions based on artistic merit, originality, conceptual clarity, and creative potential. Jury committee to be announced later.
Terms
Only original artworks created by the submitting artist are accepted. All submissions must be the artist's own creations. Works must be finished and ready to hang. If work does not meet requirements, it will be returned at sender's expense.
