About
Overview
The Centre for Modern Art & Theory at Masaryk University invites applications for a one-month Visiting Research Fellowship in 2025. The Centre promotes research and teaching in modern and contemporary art, visual culture, aesthetics, design, and art criticism, hosting individual and joint research projects and organizing guest lectures, Work In Progress seminars, and reading groups.
Fellowship Details
The Visiting Fellow will undertake research with Centre support, deliver a presentation and/or lead a research activity, and actively participate in the Centre's regular programme. The proposed research project should encompass regional source research, libraries, archives, museums, or monuments, or have thematic affinities with the Centre's lines of research.
Award
- Stipend of 50,000 CZK (approximately €2,000) to cover travel, accommodation, and living expenses
- Expected stay of 3–4 weeks (Fellow may stay longer using the same stipend)
- Fellowship dates: autumn semester (September–December) 2025

Open to researchers at any career stage who hold a PhD in a relevant field.
