Get matched →Ryedale Open Studios is an annual arts event celebrating the rich creativity and artistic talent within the Ryedale district of North Yorkshire. Selected artists open their workshops, studios, and homes over two weekends, offering the public an exclusive glimpse into their working processes and the opportunity to purchase artworks directly. This marks the 6th year of the event, now facilitated by You Will Be C.I.C.
Submit 4 images of your work (no more, no less) following specified quality guidelines. You must also provide a description of your work so the panel understands what they are looking at. High-quality, in-focus, properly lit images are essential as these will be used in the printed directory and website if accepted.
Applications are reviewed by a panel of arts professionals from outside the immediate Ryedale area. The panel assesses work based on originality, high quality, clear direction and vision, ability to excite visitors, presentation and execution quality, and professionalism of images. Decisions are based purely on application quality regardless of previous participation.
Collaborative submissions are welcome with the following conditions: all work must be jointly created and exhibited; you cannot apply both independently and as part of a collaborative; and both (or all) artists must be onsite during all published opening hours. A collective simply exhibiting together should apply individually.
