Callout for visual artists and creative writers to submit work about protest for a collaborative zine 'Protest for Change,' which will be launched at an exhibition at North Bar, Leeds. The collective welcomes individuals and collectives.

Work addressing protest in any form: anti-racism, queer/trans rights, climate change, anti-war, cost of living, immigration, environmental, political, ethical, economic, social and historical issues, or civil and human rights.

  • Submission deadline: Friday 18th September 2026 at midnight
  • Exhibition opening: Sunday 11th October 2026, 5pm onwards at North Bar, 24 New Briggate, Leeds
  • Any artist or creative writer living or working in Yorkshire, UK
  • Individuals and collectives welcome
  • Must not submit work derived from or containing AI elements
  • Up to 5 separate pieces of work (old or new)
  • Visual art or creative writing
  • High quality images required (300dpi) for zine production

Free to submit. Selected contributors receive a copy of the zine and will be credited.

  • Studio Greenly has a strict anti-AI policy; do not submit AI-generated or AI-assisted work
  • Designed for Yorkshire-based artists only; zines cannot be posted outside the UK
  • Attendance at opening evening encouraged but not required; zines can be posted if you cannot attend
  • No payment offered to contributors due to budget constraints

Studio Greenly is a planet-friendly collective of freelancers in illustration and design, based in Leeds/Bradford, operating since 2023. They host sustainable, affordable and accessible local events and recurring exhibitions including The GREAT Leeds Fungi Exhibition, Kirkstall Crafty Social, and seasonal Queer Makers Markets.
