Overview

R.A.R.O. Barcelona announces its Autumn 2026 Residency Open Call at Casa R.A.R.O., a multidisciplinary space for artistic production, research, exchange, and experimentation in the heart of Barcelona. This program invites artists of all nationalities and disciplines to develop their projects within a shared environment that encourages dialogue, collaboration, and contemporary artistic thinking. Each residency concludes with an Open Studio, offering artists the opportunity to share their process and work with the public.

Residency Options

  • Option 1: August 31st to September 25th, 2026
  • Option 2: October 5th to 30th, 2026
  • Option 3: November 2nd to 27th, 2026

Duration & Accommodation

Residencies range from 3 weeks to 2 months. Accommodation is not provided, but the residency can assist residents in finding affordable artist-minded accommodations.

Facilities & Disciplines

Casa R.A.R.O. is a multidisciplinary space of over 300 m² offering both private and shared studios. Artists can work in a wide variety of techniques including painting, drawing, collage, performance, video art, ceramics, installation, mixed media, printmaking, sculpture, and textile arts.

All residency participants are expected to present their work in a final Open Studio format.

Eligibility

Open to artists of all nationalities, any stage of career, and any discipline. Spouses/partners and children are allowed for the full stay as non-collaborators. Average of 10 artists in residence at a time.
