Event Overview

Join us for the Savannah Riverside Market, a three-day outdoor art and fine craft market set along Savannah's world-famous riverfront during the busy fall holiday shopping season. Nestled beside the scenic Savannah River in one of the Southeast's most visited destinations, this event brings together a carefully curated collection of artists, makers, and specialty vendors surrounded by historic architecture, waterfront views, restaurants, hotels, and shops.

• Submission Deadline: October 15, 2026
• Applications Accepted: June 18, 2026
• Wait List Released: November 10, 2026 (or as deemed necessary by the event Director)
• Event Dates: December 4–6, 2026
• Load In: Friday, December 4, 2026 (Friday morning); Saturday walk-in 8:00 AM–8:30 AM (advance participation and approval required; dolly in only)
• Festival Hours: Friday 10 AM–6 PM, Saturday 10 AM–6 PM, Sunday 10 AM–4 PM (allowed to stay late)

Booth Categories

• 2-D Mixed Media: Collage, papermaking, encaustic, pen and ink, paint, pencil, watercolor, or photography suitable for wall mounting
• 3-D Mixed Media: Mosaic, papier mâché, clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood, or other 3-dimensional objects
• Ceramics: Original shaped and fired clay including earthenware, porcelain, and raku
• Digital Art: Two-dimensional works manipulated by the artist using computer software
• Drawing & Printmaking: Original drawings and prints (pulled plates, linoleum prints, etching, engraving, silkscreen, lithography); all prints must be signed and numbered; photocopies not permitted
• Edibles: Handmade items (jam, sauce, baked goods, etc.) pre-packaged and not prepared on-site
• Fiber: Basketry, batik, weaving, papermaking, knitting, quilting; embellishment of manufactured materials not permitted
• Glass: Blown, fused, stained, cast, or molded; embellishment of manufactured materials not permitted
• Handcraft: Handmade items from manufactured, recycled, or repurposed materials; complete description required
• Jewelry: Crafted from metal, glass, stone, clay, or other materials; commercial molds or casts not permitted; at least 50% of organic materials must be produced by the artist
• Metal: Functional and non-sculptural works incorporating metal
• Painting: Oils, acrylics, watercolors, and tempera suitable for hanging
• Photography: Prints, transparencies, or digital images from the artist's original negative or digital camera, processed by the artist
• Sculpture: Three-dimensional work in any individual medium
• Wood & Furniture: Original works built, turned, carved, or tooled; embellished manufactured wood items not permitted

Requirements

• First-time attendees must obtain a City of Savannah Business License ($85, good for 1 calendar year); artists living in counties immediately surrounding Chatham County are exempt; list event address as business address
• Food booths must register with Savannah DPH and submit business license and required paperwork no later than 6 weeks prior; food trucks cannot be accommodated; honey booths not accepted
• Parking: $2.50 per hour in nearby city-owned spaces (8 AM–8 PM); $5 daily parking at Savannah Convention Center with ferry access

Prohibited Items

• T-shirts and commercial clothing (any re-sell or manufactured items)
• Posters
• Manufactured toys (any re-sell or manufactured items)
• Commercially manufactured or reproduced items (resale)
• Jewelry made from more than 50% manufactured components
• Any item employing commercially available molds or patterns

Event Amenities

• Water provided for artists on Saturday and Sunday
• Booth sitters available during event hours upon request (limited basis)
• Designated Festival Hotline available during event hours for assistance, emergencies, questions, and concerns
• 24-hour on-site security

Policies

• No show policy: Artists who have not checked in and/or called the Festival Emergency Number by Friday 8:00 AM will be considered a no-show; no refunds issued and space forfeited to wait-list artist
• Rain or Shine: Event takes place regardless of weather; no rain date and fees not refunded
• Sales Tax: Artists responsible for collecting and reporting 7.00% sales tax (4.00% GA, 3.00% Chatham County); documents provided at check-in
• Late applications may be accepted at Director's discretion and included on wait list

All AFFPS Festival fees support the GFPS, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to building a stronger arts community and providing scholarships for artists to help with their artistic careers.
