The Town of Basalt is seeking proposals for a permanent sculpture to be installed in the landscaped roundabout at the entry to Willits Town Center. The sculpture will serve as a gateway feature reflecting the modern, urban character of the neighborhood.

Submission requirements
Submit detailed representations of the proposed sculpture from multiple angles including dimensions, materials, maintenance plan, transportation, and installation details. Address theme, size, base attachment method, materials, maintenance, and transportation & installation.
Design specifications
- Maximum diameter of sculpture pad: 30'
- Sculpture must be appropriate in scale to the site and not obstruct driver sightlines through the roundabout
- Materials must withstand Basalt's mountain climate and minimize reflectivity
- Minimal maintenance required; detail all maintenance needs, frequency, and products
- Sculpture will be affixed to a level concrete pad provided by Town Staff; artist specifies attachment method

- Total budget: $100,000 for design, fabrication, delivery, and installation
- Town covers concrete pad and project insurance
- Town can assist with installation
